子宫肌瘤是女性最常见的盆腔良性肿瘤,好发于30-50岁的育龄女性,发病率随着年龄增长而增加 。子宫肌瘤可导致异常子宫出血、腹痛、盆腔压迫症状、不孕或不良妊娠结局,严重影响女性健康 。

多项研究都表明,蔬菜水果摄入可以显著降低子宫肌瘤的发生率,而水果,尤其是柑橘类水果的作用较蔬菜更为明显 。
蔬菜水果中富含的维生素、矿物质、类胡萝卜素、抗氧化物质等可通过抑制生长、促进凋亡、激素依赖等方式来发挥作用 。饮食中添加番茄粉成分或服用草莓提取物可以增加肌瘤组织的细胞内活性氧、促进细胞凋亡,对于子宫肌瘤的预防治疗有益 。

维生素D和动物来源的维生素A(动物肝脏)摄入可降低子宫肌瘤风险,但是水果蔬菜来源的维生素A、维生素C、叶酸、维生素E摄入与子宫肌瘤发生并无显著关联 。

饮酒会增加子宫肌瘤的发生风险,啤酒与白酒、红酒相比,影响更为显著 。而每天摄入20g以上的酒精就会显著增加肌瘤手术的风险 。摄入咖啡通常不会增加肌瘤风险,但35岁以下女性大量摄入咖啡因与肌瘤发生具有微弱的相关性 。服用绿茶提取物可以缩小肌瘤体积、减轻相关症状,有利于延缓肌瘤的进展 。
