一个高一孩子的作文-- To the horses
Have you ever watched horse-riding? Obviously, horses are one of the most well-known animals in the world. As is known to all, they have made great contributions to the development of human society.
There are many words to describe horses –-they are excellent runners so they could be used as a means of transportation;
they are meek and quiet so that they could be tamed easily. What’s more, they are very loyal so armies like using them. Needless to say, horses have helped us a lot, and we have been accustomed to having them serve us. However, when we enjoy the comfort and convenience horses bring to us, how would they feel?
I can well remember the time when I took a carriage pulling by a horse for the first time. I just sat in the carriage. The horse was fastened by many ropes and it could only go straight along the road. It was a little hard for the horse to carry six people so I could even hear it panting for breath. Its hoofs hit the road heavily. I felt a bit sorry for that. I realized it might be cruel to use other animals as tools.
It reminded me of a scene of the movie “Warhorse”. It happened in a silent night during the battle. Soldiers of both sides were observing each other. In the middle of the battlefield, a horse was standing alone. The war had made its eyes blind so it could only stand there quietly. The moonlight shined through the smoke and the body of the horse seemed to be covered with a silver clothing. Suddenly a sense of sadness came into my heart. Too many horses are used as tools by people, the only thing they could do is to satisfy people’s needs. They were tied tightly and run for hours, even fighting against each other. The suffering is extreme, they got exhausted, hungry, injured and killed in the battle. More than that, they lost the chance to live a free life like other animals. If there were a way that I can communicate with horses, the first thing I would express is that I respect all of them.
【Unique|Unique and Respectable】In my view, all the species should have their own life. They aren’t supposed to be controlled by others. For all species have their own features, they are all unique. I always dream of a great number of horses running freely and wildly on a vast grass plain, without people riding on them.without ropes tied to them. If that comes true, I would stand on the hills and watch them.Then I would shout out:You are unique. To be yourselves
